Permanent full-time (12 month) tenure track appointment in the Department of Soil and Water Systems (SWS). This position will address the needs of growers, livestock industries, and urban dwellers in southern Idaho in soil and water quality/nutrient and waste management through Extension and Research of soil and water quality, and waste management. The faculty member will be
stationed in Twin Falls, ID and be an integral player in the developing Idaho Center for Agriculture, Food and the Environment, (CAFE). The center will provide an interdisciplinary collaborative environment with a strong focus on soil and water quality.
An earned doctorate by date of hire, in soil science, soil and water sciences,
environmental science, agronomy, or a closely related discipline.
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate in oral and written formats.
Demonstrated experience and training in crop and soil science.
Demonstrated ability to conduct, analyze, and interpret research results.
Demonstrated professional experience or training in extension or educational
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with stakeholders in creative ways.
Strong publication record in refereed journals.
Experience obtaining extra-mural funding and mentoring graduate students.
