Expertise: Dr. Fan’s research focuses on innovation of latecomers and urbanization of transitional economies. The geographic area of her research is global but with current emphasis of Asian countries. She is interested in the (1) development of theories and empirical evidences on innovation of latecomers at national, sectoral, regional, and firm levels; (2) development theories and methodologies examining urbanization and sustainability in transitional economies under current climate change.
