College of Agricultural, Consumer, and Environmental Sciences, New Mexico State University, invites applications for the position of Assistant Dean of Economic Development. Must meet tenure requirements (tenured or tenurable at the rank of Professor in the Department of Agricultural Economics & Agricultural Business) with a Ph.D. in agricultural and resource and economics, economics or a closely related discipline. 5 or more years of experience academia/strong research record demonstrated by publication in prestigious venues and development of research and/or extension programs.
This position assists the Dean in planning, development, administration, and structuring the role of the College of Agricultural, Consumer & Environmental Sciences (ACES) in rural and economic development of New Mexico and agribusiness and natural resources in urban, rural and borderlands; as well as in developing and overseeing economic analyses for the College. accreditation, enrollment management and research and extension statistics and projections.
Preferred qualifications: 5 or more years of experience in academia/strong research and/or extension record demonstrated by publications in prestigious venues and development of research and/or extension programs. Familiarity with the Southwest. Administrative experience in higher education. Language skills: Spanish fluency and/or Diné
