Post-doctorate fellowship in carbon modeling and application of biochar in soils
The Center for Carbon Studies in Tropical Agriculture (CCARBON) is a world-class center linked to University of São Paulo (USP) rectory and located at the Luiz de Queiroz College of Agriculture (ESALQ/USP), in Piracicaba, São Paulo state/Brazil, and was approved in the Research, Diffusion, and Innovation Centers Program (CEPID) from the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP).
CCARBON's mission is to develop innovative solutions to strengthen low-carbon tropical agriculture. CCARBON offers a postdoctoral position to evaluate the use of biogeochemical models to estimate carbon sequestration in soils under biochar application in tropical environments.
The approved candidate will be hired for 24 months and receive a Fellowship of BRL 12.000,00 monthly plus Technical Reserve equivalent to 10% of this amount. It is desirable that the candidate be highly motivated and productive, with experience in biochar production and use, soil carbon measurements, and use of biogeochemical models such as DayCent and RothC.
